Nurdan Akkemik Portfolio

I started my design journey at university with Photoshop — the goddess of graphic design programs... It was fun discovering how a few pixels, some curiosity and a lot of patience could turn an idea into something visual. Then I discovered 3D modelling and visualization… and, well, things got a little more serious from there.

Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked across 3D design, architectural visualization, product visualization, animation and digital content — from advertising agencies and architectural projects to freelance work and international remote teams. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to work with both local and international clients, guide design decisions, build visual content strategies and help turn ideas into something people can actually see, experience and connect with.

Today, my work sits somewhere between creativity, technology and project management. I enjoy the creative side of building a strong visual concept, but I also enjoy the less glamorous parts of making things happen — planning, organizing, prioritizing, solving problems, managing deadlines and keeping everyone moving in the same direction. My PMP certification is perhaps proof that I eventually learned to love spreadsheets and timelines too. 😉

I believe that ideas are the most essential part of what I do. Technology changes, software comes and goes, and there is always another button to learn — but a strong idea is what gives a project direction and meaning. I’m always curious about what’s next — whether it’s a new creative challenge, a new technology, or simply a better way of doing what I already do... And that brings me back to the motto I’ve carried throughout my career:

“Learning is an unstoppable process. It’s a way of life.”
